COVID-19 MODIFIED PROCEDURES & POLICIES

It should go without saying that the health and safety of our guests and employees is of utmost importance to us at Sierra Meadows. Accordingly, as we open our doors to guests again, we do so with modified protocols to ensure that we are meeting guidelines set by the Federal government & CDC, the State of California and Madera County.

First, it's important to note that all of our rental units are free-standing structures that do not share any common spaces or HVAC equipment. No indoor common spaces are currently open to the public.

Effective immediately, we have implemented the following (subject to change):

  • 24 hour break between guests in each cabin

    • Guests are asked to open windows before they leave

    • Cleaning staff will not enter the cabin until 24 hours after guest departure

  • We will only open 2 of the 10 Micro cabins so that bathroom facilities are not shared

    • One cabin will use the men’s bathroom, the other cabin will use the women’s bathroom

    • We will use the same 48 hour cleaning break for these cabins and their designated bathrooms

  • Reception kiosk will remain closed

    • All check-ins & check-outs will be completed online or via our video doorbell

    • Our reception store will not be selling items to guests

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols (partial list)

    • In addition to normal cleaning routines, all handles, light switches, etc. will be wiped down between guests with disposable disinfecting wipes

    • Some guest amenities will be limited to single use items

    • Decorative items like decorative pillows and throw blankets will be removed

    • All linens will be washed at the highest temperature

    • Air conditioning filters will be cleaned after each guest

  • Housekeeping staff modifications

    • Housekeeping staff will be given masks and gloves to use when cleaning, discarding the gloves after each cabin

    • Only one staff member will be allowed to clean a particular cabin

    • Only one staff member will be allowed in the laundry & supply room at a time

    • All staff members will be surveyed for temperature and answer a health questionnaire before they begin work each day (as mandated by Madera County Environmental Health guidelines)

    • Employee communication will primarily be conducted either over the phone, via text message, or using the messaging functionality of our scheduling and time tracking software

    • Housekeeping staff will work on a staggered scheduled to minimize interaction

    • Cleaning tools such as brooms and mops will not be shared among employees and will be sanitized after each shift

  • Swimming pool

    • The pool will remain closed until we receive official confirmation that it can be opened safely from Madera County Environmental Health Department

  • Events

    • We have canceled all events (including our concert series) through May and expect that we will likely cancel all events through the summer, as well

    • We will resume events only when we receive clear directives from the state and local government regarding public gatherings & groups
