It should go without saying that the health and safety of our guests and employees is of utmost importance to us at Sierra Meadows. Accordingly, as we open our doors to guests again, we do so with modified protocols to ensure that we are meeting guidelines set by the Federal government & CDC, the State of California and Madera County.

First, it's important to note that all of our rental units are free-standing structures that do not share any common spaces or HVAC equipment. No indoor common spaces are currently open to the public.

To ensure the safety of our guests and employees, we have implemented the following (subject to change):

  • Checking out procedures and additional time for cleaning

    • Our check-out time is now 11am which gives our housekeeping team enough time to safely ventilate, disinfect and clean cabins prior to our 4pm check-in

    • Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs at this time; we appreciate your patience and understanding

    • Guests are asked to open all windows before they leave, turn on fans including bathroom exhaust fan

    • Staff will ventilate each cabin for at least 1 hour after guests have departed before cleaning

    • All surfaces will be wiped down with disinfecting wipes before other cleaning begins

  • We will only open 2 of the 10 Micro cabins so that bathroom facilities are not shared

    • One cabin will use the men’s bathroom, the other cabin will use the women’s bathroom

  • Reception kiosk will remain closed

    • All check-ins will be completed online or via our video doorbell

    • Our reception store will not be selling items to guests

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols (partial list)

    • In addition to normal cleaning routines, all handles, light switches, thermostats, surfaces, etc. will be wiped with disposable disinfecting wipes

    • All linens will be washed at the highest temperature

  • Housekeeping staff modifications

    • Housekeeping staff will be given masks and gloves to use when cleaning, discarding the gloves after each cabin

    • Only one staff member will be allowed in a cabin at a time

    • Only one staff member will be allowed in the laundry & supply room at a time

    • All staff members will answer a health questionnaire before they begin work each day (as mandated by Madera County Environmental Health guidelines)

    • Employee communication will primarily be conducted either over the phone, via text message, or using the messaging functionality of our scheduling and time tracking software

    • Housekeeping staff will work on a staggered scheduled to minimize interaction

    • Cleaning tools such as brooms and mops will not be shared among employees and will be sanitized after each shift

  • The swimming pool is now closed for the season

  • Events

    • We have canceled all events (including our concert series) through the summer and expect that we will likely cancel all events through the fall, as well

    • We will resume events only when we receive clear directives from the state and local government regarding public gatherings & groups
