OAKHURST - EAT

South Gate Brewing Company

This is a local favorite with a great selection of burgers, pizza, salads, tacos, and entrees along with - of course - their own house-brewed beer and a great selection of wine. It can get pretty busy sometimes so it’s best to go during the “off hours” to avoid a long wait for a table. 40233 Enterprise Dr, Oakhurst. 559.692.2739.

Idle Hour Kitchen

Our favorite winery is now serving dinner Wed-Sat & lunch 7 days a week! Check the Idle Hour Facebook page for the latest menu and call for more info or reservations. 41139 CA-41, Oakhurst. 559.760.9090.

The Elderberry House: Cellar Bar

Open Wednesday through Sunday, Cellar Bar is one of the very best dining options in the area. Take a quick left when you enter the building and descend into the intimate Cellar Bar where you can enjoy a concise but delicious menu of appetizers, entrees and cocktails. Thursday night is Happy Hour and can be a bit crowded (but less expensvie). 48688 Victoria Ln, Oakhurst. 559.683.6800.

Los 2 Carnales

Oakhurst's newest Mexican restaurant does not disappoint! Lots of interesting items on the menu but we are still stuck on the excellent Chili Verde Supreme Burrito. 40470 CA-41, Oakhurst. 559.603.8539

Plazuelas Mexican Restaurant

Excellent Mexican food in the plaza with the Raley’s grocery store in downtown Oakhurst. Their tacos are delicious. 40015 CA-49, Suite 203, Oakhurst. 559.658.7771

Matsumoto Samurai’s Kitchen

A fantastic local food truck selling poke bowls, sushi rolls, Tokyo fried chicken, gyoza and more! Great food and they are great friends of ours. Bonus: they use our commercial kitchen to prepare their food! Check their Facebook page or call for current location. 559.273.9035.

Smokehouse 41 BBQ

Oakhurst’s best barbeque located - you guessed it - on Highway 41. Recommended. 40713 Hwy 41, Oakhurst. 559.642.2271.

Tandoori Express

Brand new Indian restaurant in downtown Oakhurst. Great variety and good quality. 40278 Rd 425A, Oakhurst. 559.683.3363.

Marisco’s Colima

Tasty Mexican food on Highway 41 near the Deli Delicious (which is also good choice for sandwiches). Their burritos are probably the best in town. 40208 CA-41, Oakhurst. 559.683.6066.

The Glow Cafe

Burgers, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies and breakfast all day! This is a new spot in Oakhurst and the food is really good along with a friendly staff. Try to find Sierra Meadows on their enormous outdoor mural! 39993 CA-41, Oakhurst. 559.825.3717.

El Cid

An Oakhurst favorite for many years, El Cid offers a variety of slightly upscale Mexican dishes along with a full bar for margaritas and more! 41939 Hwy 41, Oakhurst. 559.683.6668.

The Hitching Post (Ahwahnee)

An area staple that also happens to be the only restaurant here in Ahwahnee! This is a classic roadhouse bar/diner/family restaurant with pool tables, TVs and more. If you’re lucky it’ll be karaoke night! Don’t order too much - the portions here are enormous. 42592 Hwy 49, Ahwahnee. 559.683.7917.

Round Table Pizza

Not the best pizza in the world but it’s the best in town. They are also one of the only places that will deliver out here! Be sure to call on the phone (don't order online) and tell them your cabin number when placing your order. 40034 CA-49, Oakhurst. 559.683.7472.

Reimer's Candies & Ice Cream

Excellent spot for ice cream and sweets on highway 41 as you are heading to Yosemite. We haven't had a bad ice cream flavor here yet (and trust us, we've done plenty of testing). Sundaes here are also delicious. 41969 CA-41, Oakhurst. 559.642.3232.

Judy's Donuts

A local gem of a donut shop, located right on Highway 41 in Oakhurst. Maple bars, plain glazed, pick your poison: they are all absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended. 40444 Highway 41, Oakhurst559.683.2095.

OAKHURST - DRINK

Idle Hour Winery

A lovely spot run by some of our favorite people. Stop in for a tasting or enjoy a bottle on their patio overlooking the Fresno River. All of their wines are great but the award-winning Tempranillo is their crown jewel.

Snow Line Saloon

An authentic honky tonk bar with great drinks, great food and great music. A fantastic new addition to Oakhurst's nightlife.

Ducey’s on the Lake
