THE PERFECT DOG-FRIENDLY RETREAT

Most Yosemite-area lodging leaves your dog cooped up in a crate with only a couple of rushed bathroom breaks.

Sierra Meadows is different.

Just steps from your cabin door, your dog has hundreds of acres to roam freely — a sprawling former golf course transformed into an off-leash paradise of creeks, ponds, trails, and wildlife. Rabbits dart through the brush, squirrels chatter from the trees, and giant sculptures dot the landscape as your pup discovers something new around every bend. And while your dog is busy living their best life, so are you.

Sierra Meadows means no more guilt-trips cut short, no more anxious whining from the crate, and no more choosing between a great getaway and a happy pup. Whether it's a sunrise walk along the creek, an afternoon of fetch in the open meadows, or simply watching your dog sprint through wide-open space with pure joy, Sierra Meadows turns a dog-friendly policy into a dog-first experience — one your four-legged travel companion won't soon forget.

WHERE TO ROAM

For a safe and enjoyable stay for all our guests, we ask to please keep your dogs on-leash in the cabin area, pool and hot tub area.

However, they are welcome to be off-leash in the 150-acre meadow across the street from the cabins.

NO DOG LEFT BEHIND

We do ask that dogs not be left alone in the cabins while you're away from the property. Emergencies like power outages or sudden weather changes are rare, but we want to make sure your pup is never caught in one without you nearby — and your neighboring cabin guests will appreciate the quiet too!

PET SITTING

If you're planning a hike in Yosemite, keep in mind that like most national parks, dogs must remain on leash and are only permitted in a small fraction of the park's trails and areas. We're happy to share our list of wonderful local dog sitters so you can explore worry-free and come back to a happy, well-cared-for pup.
